In order to make martial arts more clearly present in front of people and promote the development of theory and practice of martial arts， this paper has a logical analysis on the definition of martial arts in the ancient， modern and contemporary times with the methods of documentary and logic analysis. It points out defects and deficiencies of the definition of martial arts put forward by the past scholars and draws the conclusion： using correct logical form to define the concept of Wushu， clearing the essential attribute of the martial arts， pstinguishing the extension of martial arts.

引言

定义是反映事物本质属性与不同于其他事物的思维方法。伟大的哲学家黑格尔曾在其《定义论》中称：“定义无疑是形式，但需要觉得是无限的有创造性的形式，它包括所有充实的内容在自己内，并可以同时不为内容所限制或束缚。定义乃是内含于事物本身之中的东西：事物之所以是事物，即有其中包括定义，因此把握一个对象，即是意识着这对象的定义〔1〕。”因此，对武术定义的逻辑学探究，一方面能揭示武术这一技击内涵，打造好的武术思维的基础，其次能明确武术的外延，亦是形成武术理论体系的基本条件。

然而，武术这一运动文化载体是伴随社会的进步而不断丰富的，既要看到古时候、近现代的大社会背景对武术进步的影响，又要看到当代“大武术观”对武术“走出去”和“引进去”的指导性意义，这所有的首要条件和基础就是要明确武术这一定义。这就需要大家正确运用形式逻辑概念武术定义，吸收前辈们对武术定义的感性认识，深化、进步、升华武术定义这一理性认识。
